Everything you need to know to have an amazing time!

This is a 7-week season in a 5v5, non-contact, recreational format designed for skill development, confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, safety, and fun. There are no tryouts — everyone plays. We target 8–10 players per team to maximize playing time and create the best on-field experience for every athlete.

Whether your child is playing for the first time or sharpening skills before moving into tackle, this league is built to help them improve while creating unforgettable moments along the way.

What Families Can Expect

  • Professionally operated game days: trained staff, officials, scheduling, and weekly communication

  • Development-forward experience: balanced playing time, coach support, and a positive culture

  • Weekly Amon-Ra moments (without requiring weekly attendance): athlete-led videos, shout-outs, giveaways, and awards

  • Season-ending championship/festival: a marquee finale that brings sites together for awards + community energy

Game Day + Practices

  • Games are played on Sundays (anticipated window: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., subject to field availability and league size).

  • Exact schedules are posted 1–2 weeks before Opening Day.

  • Convenient practices take place one hour before game time each week to reduce travel and keep the program family-friendly.

  • Schedule times may vary week-to-week and may adjust slightly after initial posting based on team counts and field logistics.

Communication + Schedules (MOJO App)

The MOJO app is used for:

  • team rosters and schedules (meet-and-greet, practices, games)

  • coach/player messaging via team chat

  • key announcements and weekly updates

Once rosters are confirmed, families will receive a notification when team pages are live.

Uniforms + Equipment

Each participant receives an exclusive Amon-Ra St. Brown league tee shirt to wear during the season.
Flag belts and footballs are provided on-site.

Divisions + Age Cutoff

Divisions are age-based using an August 1 cutoff (Age as of August 1, 2026 for Fall 2026 programming).
Each location intends to offer both boys and girls divisions when participation supports it. If needed, divisions may be combined into coed divisions to ensure teams can be formed.

Playoffs + Awards

Playoffs are designed for older divisions (typically ages 9+) on the final week of the season (division participation dependent). Awards and recognition are part of the experience, including:

  • Player of the Week recognition

  • Coach of the Season recognition

  • Championship awards for top finishers in applicable divisions

Postseason Tournament Pathway

Every team in the Amon-Ra St. Brown Youth Flag Football League will have the opportunity to continue the season with two marquee tournament experiences:

  • Go Play Flag ChampionshipsNovember 7–8 at The Hawk (Farmington Hills)
A weekend championship atmosphere with multiple divisions and a true postseason feel.

  • Go Play Flag at Ford FieldEarly December (date TBD)
Compete inside Ford Field for an unforgettable stadium experience that brings the energy of the next level to youth flag football.

All teams qualify to participate in both events (separate registration may apply). Full tournament formats, divisions, schedules, and event details will be released closer to each date.

Volunteer Coaches

Our league relies on volunteer parent coaches to lead teams. Each team may have up to three (3) volunteers:

  • Head Coach

  • Assistant Coach

  • Team Manager

All coaches receive training resources and participate in a mandatory coach meeting to ensure a fun, safe, and organized season.
