Style: 5v5 Youth Flag Football Tournament

Format: 3-game round robin, followed by a single-elimination playoff bracket for qualifying teams
Locker Room Tour: All players and coaches receive access to a Michigan Stadium locker room tour (tour times assigned once schedules are released)
Roster Limits: 12 players + 3 coaches per team
Spectator Admission: $10 per person (players + coaches free; children 5 & under free)

Coed: 6U | 7U | 8U | 9U | 10U | 12U
Coed divisions may include all boys, all girls, or a mix of both.
All-Girls: 10U | 12U

Format
One-day tournament.
• 3-game round robin (games guaranteed)
• Top teams in each division advance to a single-elimination playoff bracket to crown division champions
Divisions
Coed: 6U | 7U | 8U | 9U | 10U | 12U
Coed divisions may include all boys, all girls, or a mix of both.
All-Girls: 10U | 12U
Age cutoff: Players compete based on their age as of August 1, 2025.
Rosters
Roster limits: Maximum 12 players and 3 coaches per team.
Roster submission: All rosters must be uploaded in the Zorts Player Registration system.
Player Cards required: Each player must have a Zorts Player Card, including:
A headshot (shoulders up), and
Proof of age (birth certificate, passport, or state-issued ID showing date of birth).Coach requirement: All coaches must have an active ZortsID (Coach role).
Roster deadline: Rosters must be uploaded by April 27.
Locker Room Tour
All players and coaches will receive a locker room tour at Michigan Stadium. Tour times will be assigned once game schedules are released. Additional locker room passes for family and friends may be purchased for $20 in advance or $25 on-site.

• Division champions also earn a 50% paid bid (half-off team entry) to the Go Play Flag Championships this fall
Modifications
Rules & Regulations
• Hydration stations will be provided for participating teams.
• Bag policy: Stadium policy applies (details sent prior to event)
Rules of the Game
We will use a modified version of the NFL FLAG 5v5 rulebook. Due to the time restrictions of this event, certain rule modifications will be in place.
Tournament modifications
• Two 12-minute halves
• No halftime (teams switch directions immediately)
• One 30-second timeout per half. Timeouts do not carry over.
• Running clock for both halves; the clock does not stop in the final minute
• No overtime during round-robin play
• Rushing will only be allowed in the 9U + older divisions
• Interceptions may be returned (except on an extra point attempt)
• No “Replay of Down” rule in the 6U division
• Two-way field
• NFL FLAG jerseys or light/dark team jerseys required
• Coaches must be off the field prior to the snap (exception: 6U offensive coaches may remain on the field if they are out of the play)
Bracket Play Overtime (Sudden Death)
• Coin toss determines first possession
• Ball starts at the 5-yard line, driving toward midfield
• Each team gets two plays; most yards wins
• If tied, repeat the process
• Interceptions cannot be returned in overtime
• Interception on play 1 = 0 yards total for that team (no second play)
• Interception on play 2 = 0 yards for that play; yards from play 1 still count
How Much Is It?
Team Entry (Donation): $1,000 per team
• Estimated tax-deductible amount: up to $500 (subject to IRS rules; receipt provided).
• Partial proceeds benefit the Go Play Flag Foundation (501(c)(3))

• $250 non-refundable donation to reserve a spot
• Remaining $750 due by the registration deadline
